FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DO I GET WITH THE WEDDING PACKAGES?

Photographic coverage by Lindsie Grey and a second photographer.

Fully edited and polished images with no watermark via direct download.

USB of high-resolution images. 

1-year password protected online gallery.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET?

You will receive a minimum of 50 images per hour of coverage.

I don’t hold back with the images and on average I give around 600 images for an 8-hour wedding.

HOW DO YOU BACK UP YOUR IMAGES? 

I shoot with 2 cards in the camera.

The images are downloaded to 3 places: to my computer, to an external hard drive, and to a cloud-based storage system (so if my house burns down your images won’t).

DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS?

Yes, I personally edit all the images.

They are retouched and polished to the high standard you see on my blog.

WHAT DOES EDITING INVOLVE?

This process goes by many names including retouching, post-production, and touching-up.

Editing can include colour correction, sharpening, softening, saturation levels, contrast, minor blemish removal and minor background distraction. 

Extensive editing will be quoted. 

WHEN DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

You’ll receive your photographs within 2 weeks of your engagement session and 1 month of the wedding.

I usually send a few preview images within a week of the shoot. 

WILL WE HAVE THE DIGITAL IMAGES AFTER?

Absolutely!

Your images are carefully selected, edited and delivered via direct download and USB.

Friends and family can order prints online through the gallery.

You’ll also receive a print release giving you rights to print them yourselves.

WILL I HAVE COPYRIGHT TO THE IMAGES? 

Lindsie Grey owns the copyright.

You may not publish or sell them.

Alteration to the images must require approval.

This includes cropping and editing such as Instagram filters.

You may not distribute the images to third parties (i.e. makeup artist, florist, wedding planner). If they wish to use the images for promotion they must contact me directly.

Images may be used for advertising on my website or published on wedding blogs. 

If you wish to keep your images private you may purchase the copyright.

HOW DO WE ORDER OUR ALBUM?

Once you receive your images, I’ll then design the layout for you. 

You’ll get the first draft within 2 weeks via an online private proofing program.

You can review your album layouts, leave feedback, and make revisions to include your must have photos. 

You’ll be able to customise your album’s cover and embossing. 

The albums take 6-8 weeks to print and assemble once the design and customizations of the book have been finalized.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE?

The agreed contract amount is split into 2 payments.

50% with a signed contract to secure the date.

50% one month before the wedding.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Email transfer, credit card, cheque.

Cash is accepted but will still incur tax in accordance with Ontario Law. 

DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE HST?

The price list does not include tax. 13% HST will be added to your contract. 

WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

The retainer is non-refundable unless I’m able to book another wedding on that day.

You may use the credit toward a portrait session and printed products, minus an administration fee. 

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? 

I’ll travel anywhere my passports will allow me to go. Weddings that are more than 50km from Toronto are 50c per km after the first 50km per photographer. 

Weddings more than 2 hours away require 1-2 nights accommodation.

For a destination weddings, please inquire. 

CAN YOU HOLD MY DATE? 

Bookings are on a first come first served basis. 

To hold your date I require both a signed contract and 50% retainer. 

OK, NOW WHAT? I WANT YOU AS MY PHOTOGRAPHER.

Fabulous! You've made the right decision. 

Typically this is the process: 

 1. We discuss your needs over the phone or via email and create a custom package for you. 

2. If you wish to meet in person I'd love to, however, it’s not necessary and we can set up a Skype chat if you’re far away or have a busy schedule. 

3. A digital contract will be sent to you which you can sign online. The first payment is due at this time and once paid you’re officially booked. Yippee! 

4. A questionnaire and timeline will be sent so I can get to know you in more detail. This will make sure everything is planned properly to ensure a smooth day with ample time for photos. 

5. You can call me anytime for advice (even if it’s not photography related) or just to keep in touch. Many of my brides will text me a picture of their dress or decor.
